This page says what supermega.design counts, who handles it, and how to change your mind. We wrote it to describe what the site actually does.
Who runs this site
Supermega Design LLC (ТОВ «СУПЕРМЕГА ДИЗАЙН»), registration number 45836864. Registered in Ukraine. Write to us at mark@supermega.design.
What we count for everyone
Which page was opened, which site or link sent the visit, how far down the page it got, how long the page stayed open, whether it was a phone or a desktop, and the country the network reports. We also count presses on Book a call, Copy email, the film controls, and the Machine switch, and whether a Gallery signup went through.
We don't store your IP address or browser details with these counts, and we don't record anything you type.
If you are in Europe
By Europe we mean the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, with their territories. We treat a visitor as European when we can't tell the country.
Until you accept, we keep the counts above as statistics only: no visit number, no time zone, a time rounded to 10 minutes, and no link to a booking. Google Analytics doesn't load at all. If you press Accept, the next section applies to you too. Your choice stays on your device for six months, and the Cookies control in the footer changes it at any time.
Outside Europe, or after you accept
- Your browser tab gets a random number that disappears when you close the tab. It lets us see one visit from page to page.
- We also keep your browser's time zone, which gives a rough region.
- Google Analytics runs and sets its own cookies (`_ga`). Ad features are off.
If you book a call
Bookings run on Cal.com, which holds your name, your email, and whatever you write in the form. Outside Europe, or after you accept, we also pass Cal.com your tab's number and the page and button you booked from. That ties the pages you read in that visit to your booking.
We keep a short record of each booking: its Cal.com reference, status, and time, with no name or email. The link to your visit is cleared after 90 days. The record stays until you ask us to delete it.
Gallery emails
If you subscribe to new Gallery pieces, your address goes to Resend, which sends the confirmation and the emails. Nothing is added until you confirm, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
What stays in your browser
- `smd-cookies`: your consent choice, for Europeans.
- `smd-tab`: the tab's random number, in full mode only.
- `smd:leftAt`: lets the page transition run, for a moment between pages.
- `smd:gallery-cols`: the Gallery's column setting, if you change it.
None of these are sent to us except the tab's number, as described above.
Who handles this
- Vercel hosts the site and reports the visitor's country. Our functions run in Frankfurt. Like any host, it may keep short request logs that include IP addresses.
- Cloudflare runs our DNS and stores our counts, in its EU jurisdiction.
- Google Analytics, under the conditions above.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on some case studies, essays, and the Speedrun page. Your browser asks Google for them, so Google sees your IP address when those pages open, whatever you chose in the box.
- Cal.com loads only when you open the booking calendar.
- Resend sends Gallery emails.
How long we keep it
Individual counts are deleted after 90 days. Daily totals per page and country stay, with no visit number in them.
Your rights
Write to mark@supermega.design to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, or to object to it. We reply within 30 days. For a booking, include the email you booked with so we can find it. Visit numbers can't be traced back to you without one. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
