“I weld MAG, never TIG.
Is that enough for you?”
Index answered: MAG is what the job needs.
Trial shift booked Monday.
Index is an AI HR system for companies that hire skilled trades in Germany. It finds applicants, talks to them, screens them, books interviews and keeps a pool of people for the next role. The applicants are electricians, plumbers, carers and technicians who apply from a phone, often at night and without a CV. The team needed a brand and a product that show how much the system does on its own, and that a person still makes every hiring decision.
We designed the brand: the logo, colours, type, pictograms, ads and posters. The logo is seven dots that form one mark. In the photos, each dot holds a trade.
We designed the whole system around one recruiter and their assistant. The assistant runs the job ads, answers every applicant by SMS, email or WhatsApp, asks the screening questions and offers interview slots. The recruiter starts the day with a brief of who needs them. Every applicant comes with a summary that shows where each point came from. The assistant can suggest, draft or act, but rejecting and hiring always stay with a person.
Piotr asked for Saturday. You don’t work Saturdays. Offer Friday 15:00?
Hold to answerIndex asks four questions in the chat instead. 58% of people we hired never sent a CV.
Most hires live within 20 km of the job.
Did they apply from a phone?
