Project
The student management system for schools.
Why
Teached is a student management system for clock-hour schools. Admissions, classes, attendance, hours, grades, financial aid, student accounts and messages all run in one place. The team needed a brand and a product that clearly show how much it covers.
How
Brand
We designed the brand: the logo, colours, type, illustrations, posters, billboards and website. The logo is a lowercase t built from seven blocks in seven colours. In the illustrations, a grid of dots stands for the students in a school, and a cursor picks out one of them.
Product
We redesigned the whole product: the staff app for instructors and offices, the student phone app, and the clock-in kiosk. Every office works from the same student record. Instructors take roll in one tap, the registrar verifies hours, and students see their progress to graduation.
What
Ideas and solutions
- One student record. Admissions, classes, attendance, hours, grades, financial aid, accounts and messages run from the same record, so offices stop reconciling separate systems.
- Three products, one system. We redesigned the staff app, the student phone app and the clock-in kiosk: instructors take roll in one tap, the registrar verifies hours, students see their progress to graduation.
- Seven parts of a school. The logo is a lowercase t built from seven blocks in seven colours, one for each part of the school Teached runs.
- Every student seen. In the brand, a grid of dots stands for the students in a school, and a cursor picks out one of them.
